Visit the northernmost fishing village in the world

I am happy to invite you to Skarsvåg, one of the small fishing villages at the island of Magerøya , nearby the North Cape ! Here you can meet the fishery population, living and working in a very busy village when the fishing season is here. You will also have the chance to see the fishing boats, a fishery plant, family houses, hotels, camping areas and a public school. You could even try to fish!

If you have questions concerning the daily life in the village or about the arts and craft, I will do my best to answer!

For those who are interested, there is also a possibility for a special arrangement to visit one of the family houses in the village. You might also take a trip to look at the fishing boats. If you are lucky, you will be there when the fishermen land their fish.

In the spring- and summertime there are a lot of reindeer in the area.
